Always fun here in AZ when the Cards face the Lions. Opening weekend at home watching my own TV.
Five nationally televised games so far, not too shabby for a first round loser in last year's playoff derby. First time ever....I think....that Detroit plays the Steelers in front of everyone. Check that....
Good for the Lions getting on national TV! Packers end their season at Ford Field again, no surprise there I guess. Bears won't be an issue and I'm not convinced the Vikings will push for the top of the North either!
Packers play Steelers in prime time, too so Steelers must be the team to watch in the AFC??? Steelers is one team AR hasn't beat in the regular season, he keeps track of it, who cares???
I just don't understand why the Lions and Packers are playing each other on primetime three years in a row. It makes no sense to me.
Really? You can watch the Lions v Packers games the past few seasons and not understand? Lions winning at Lambeau, phantom face mask, playing for the division. There's been plenty of drama. It's also the best match-up on paper for Week 9 save for Chiefs @ Cowboys which could be a great game.

Makes sense to ME!
The last time the Lions organization had three straight winning seasons was in the Joe Schmidt/Greg Landry/Alex Karras/Dick LeBeau years.
They've gone to the playoffs two out of the last three seasons, going 7-9 in 2015. Though there are critics out there, like there are with every NFL club, they are not the equivalent of a bye week. Not anymore. The tv networks are noticing that as well.
The last time they won an NFL Championship was in 1957, a half century ago. They are playing better ball, the best since the Barry Sanders era.
Though not a Lion loyalist I root for clubs like Buffalo and Detroit. I'm blue collar. They are too.
What part of the three years in a row do you have a problem with?
I like the fact the NFL has moved division games to the end of the season. Lions and Packers whether at Ford Field or Lambeau always a great matchup, shouldn't be any other way!
With TJ going to his home town team, even more interest created, I say, bring it on, both games will be great this year!
And what's surprising to me is that it's only the second time that the Packers and Lions will play on Monday night and the last time that happened was in the 1970s and the last time ESPN aired a Lions Packer rivalry was 2005 when the Lions played the Packers in Lambeau.
I don't care who is airing the game, just so the game is on and I can watch it, ESPN doesn't matter, don't care.
