i...would you expect anything less from the jets? nah...
Oh please, do you actually think playing "dirty" is a new concept???
How about Belicheck videotaping teams? How about Westhoff correctly calling out NE's special teams actually tripping the gunner (just like the Jets did against Miami)
How about Willie Mcguiness doing the same thing going down w/a questionable injury a couple yrs ago as Dorian stated?
Did you forget about those things?
You're not that nieve to believe Rex and the 2010 Jets are the only team bending or pushing the rules, do you?
Its the NFL, any team is going to push the limits to do whatever they can to win the game....
The Jets were not charged a timeout because if you go back, the injury happened w/more than 2 minutes left in the game. Anytime a defensive injury happens within 2 minutes, that team will be charged w/a TO.
Again, very shrewd by Rex and Co.....
Its legal and no different than a defensive player who is "slow" to get off an offensive player when he makes a tackle w/not much time left in a game....
I think if the team has no timeouts, there is time taken off of the clock also.
I did think the same thing when Bart Scott (#57) was on the ground trying to get up. It looked kind of phony.

dirty or great strategy??
your thoughts?
Bill Bellicheat would do the same too and probably has.
The Patriots do the same kind of crap. Great example would be the game in 2003 at RCA dome in Indianapolis when several Patriots players faked injuries to stop the Colts drive in the last few minutes of the 4th quarter? The most blatant one was linebacker Willie McGinnis who faked an injury and was right back up a few minutes later.

my thoughts are, while it may be dirty to fake an injury to slow your opponent's momentum, if it's legal, it's a great strategy.
also, i'm not sure about the time out situation on this...were the Jets allocated a time out?

this happens all the time, my thoughts are that it is nothing new, and a non-issue

so this does happen in American football?
funny, when a soccer player does it he's a pu$$y and when an american football player does it it's " just a part of the game and a non-issue".
Hmmmmmmm....
