I was hoping Kapernick would have found his way to the Raiders, wasn't to be.

I'm glad New Orleans got Ingram, hopefully kicking Bush to the curb. Or at least on the bench with a significant paycut.

^^ Me too. I was thinking that Kapernick was the sleeper QB in this draft. I think he has a very high ceiling.

(And, besides, he can't be worst than Jim Drunkenmiller or Alex Smith, right?)

I think this is a silly question. The NFL draft is a crapshoot. You never know which players are going to be good and which are going to bomb. Ask this question in five years.

There is no way he gets the $11 million his contract calls for next year. He either takes a pay cut or he's gone. As for being on the bench Reggie was never the featured back in the Sainst offense. He's good as a third down back and he's a matchup nighmare comming out of the backfield.

I don't think the draft is such a crapshoot. NFL teams don't spend $20 to $50 million on a first round pick for a crapshoot. If it's done well there are risk involved. for sure. Of course we've all seen some notorious first round busts over the years. But I don't think a guys like Peyton Manning, Julius Peppers, Larry Fitzgerald, DeMarcus Ware or other Pro-Bowl caliber players that were necessarily "crapshots". They clearly demonstrated they had the physical tools to play in the NFL. The guys that turn out to be bust more often than no have off the field issues or simply can't handle the pressures or arent mentally mature enough to be in the NFL.

Question is, can the D-line "protect" the cornerbacks like it did to an extent in 2010 (it chased QBs around pretty good even without V-Bossche & Fairley).
Can they still pick up a CB somewhere
Okay I'm a homer...

One web prediction has them first in 2011.
Another has them last. . The first feels better.
How well have the other teams strengthened themselves?

I'm not quite ready to go there yet. The offensive line has to prove they can consistently dominate games and other skill players aisde from Calvin Johnson can come up with big plays.

Granted Stafford was injured most of the year but the Lions had to many games where they struggled in terms of running the footballl.
