It was always The Raiders or The Cowboys that got guys with "societal issues". We just got guys that never lived up to expectations. Burress sort of got a raw deal getting the sentence he did. Shooting himslef in the ass and getitng a few years suspension from play( with maybe a few months prison time to wake him the #$%^ up) would have been enough.
But the guy is not too bright and I heard a story about him locallly where he was jerking a car dealership around( had a deal to do a commercial and basically kept an SUV and never fulfilled any obligations and never paid for the vehicle) and they dragged him back under threat of arrest to settle up. Let the Giants keep him, he represents the team and fans there better.

Not an NFC East fan, but I wouldn't be losing sleep over it even if I was. Plaxico will be 34, has missed two seasons now and with the exception of that 2007 season he was never really a dominating receiver. I think the chances of him coming back and being anything more than a role player are pretty slim.

I'm shaking in my boots because of the reasons below

1. Plaxico never played with a explosive QB like Vick

2. Vick never played with a Tall WR with speed like Plax

The End

Plaxico played with Kordell Stewart, Big Ben and Eli Manning. Vick is not going to bring anything to the table that those guys haven't already.

Plaxico ran a 4.59 40 yard coming out of college. That's on the slow end of the scale for a receiver and Plaxico is now 10 years older with 9 years of NFL wear and tear on him and two years away from NFL conditioning.

Fanboys FTL.

Please don't mention Kordell Stewart and Eli Manning

Eli Manning is a Super Bowl winner with a Pro Bowl nod. Kordell Stewart was the same type of player as Vick and he went to the Pro Bowl and was named AFC Offensive Player of the Year in 2001, Burress' second year as a pro.

Try again.

It was Plaxico who caught the winning TD pass in the SB, did you forget that?

Did you also forget that Plaxico made Eli look better than he was because of all the balls he caught which were horrible passes
