I have decided to stop watching NFL Countdown on ESPN and Game Day on the NFL Network because 3 hours is way too long for a pregame show. I would rather watch Fox at 12pm which is only a hour. I can't watch the CBS pregame show because I hate the look of shannon sharpe's face and the sound of his voice.
Sometimes I have it on, while I'm doing stuff around the house, do not sit and watch the shows, 3 hrs. is too long and I do like the hour on Fox, too! Go Pack Go, beat those Dirty Birds!

I miss the 30 min pregame show with Brent Musburger in 1989
As much as I listened to my dad complain about the announcers, have to admit I would take many of them over some of the clowns today. I want my team covered but I like to hear about all the teams and get frustrated when they dwell on certain ones, ignoring the rest!
No. Back when I was younger (i.e. 1980s) I watched the 30 minute pre-game shows on CBS and NBC religiously, and particularly looked forward to Jimmy the Greek's and Pete Axhelm's predictions. When Fox got the NFC package in 1994 and they doubled the length of the pre-game show to an hour, I thought I'd be in heaven. Then I actually watched the show a few times and found out how much fluff they had. Even though NBC and then CBS increased their show lengths to 60 minutes to match Fox, I never regained my interest in watching the pre-game shows. (For all of the 1980s and portions of the 1990s I didn't have access to cable, so watching ESPN's pre-game show wasn't an option.)
On a slightly related note, I've long thought the thing Brent Musberger was best at was hosting NFL Today (CBS pre-game show up through 1993). I find him moderately annoying as a play-by-play announcer.

ESPN and NFLN are too long (Is Ditka on ESPN's pregame? He is atrocious), CBS is pretty bad (Mainly because of Sharpe), and Fox annoys me with all of the Bradshaw is dumb jokes when they could be talking about some NFL topics. I think they waste too much time in general joking about dumb crap; and as someone posted earlier, they seem to ignore some teams (or topics) altogether...
