This Pat's fan is finally going to a game! My husband and I have been to pre-season games but never a real game. This Sunday we are going to the Pats v Carolina game. I'm beyond excited. Just wanted to share. =) I'm just so sad Edelman is hurt and I won't get to see him.

Brady to Cooks - boy did that combination look sweet against Houston and big hopes for the rest of the season. Amendola always is clutch when needed (3rd and 18). No running game to speak of, but when you have a geezer of a QB who people continually want to say he'll be washed up, I'll take it.

If the Pats can keep Cam (who is not playing well) in the pocket and force him to throw it, this should be around a 14-17 point Pats victory.........even with the D playing so-so right now. If the Panthers can establish the run early, they have the defense to keep them in it. These 2 usually play each other pretty tight, I expect a good game this Sunday.

My cousin lives down in the Tampa area and he is part of the Patriots fan group in Tampa. He said that the group has something like 1,900 tickets they're distributing to members and people coming down for the game. I'd guess between what the group has secured plus others that there will be 4,000 - 5,000 Patriots fans at the stadium.

One of the biggest issues the Patriots faced with Houston was handling a mobile QB. Watson was able to break tackles and make big plays while scrambling. Hopefully they can keep Newton in check. I think they'll win something like 27-20. It will be nice to get a third straight win and move to 3-1 before back to back road games in Tampa and New York.

This defense is atrocious. Virtually no pass rush at all.

Starting to lose hope on fixing the defense this season...

This loss sits squarely on the secondary though....

Gilmore in particular....its too bad Rowe got hurt because it looks like Belichick had benched Gilmore to start the second half....that hands to the face penalty was the game killer

Gilmore just looks lost.....

I was surprised the Pats paid so much for him as my lasting impression of him as a Bills player was him getting toasted by Hogan last season and similarly looking "confused" on coverages....
