it will come down to the defense …. brady has his weapons now/receivers...

need the o line and d line to have a good game......give brady protection....we have a good chance......a better chance playing at home..

That was quite a game. It was tense and exciting to be there at Gillette.

Our defense has issues, but can't take anything away from Mahomes and that high powered offense. Brady had a stretch where he was off. His arm strength seemed down and he was inaccurate. His fumble was uncharacteristic as he held the ball too long. Gordon seemed to be missing his routes. But in the end, the Pats found a way to win. It was a must win game, and they won.

So, I haven't had a chance to watch the Pats much this year. What are you guys seeing with Gronk? Is he just getting blanketed repeatedly by coverage or does he physically not look right? Kind of hard to believe that he hasn't had a big game outside of the opener.

I guess you didn't see him play in the 4th quarter last night.

Go back and watch that, and we'll discuss.

He's doubled, other teams have not been too concerned with our other WR's (although that is changing with Edelman back), and I simply feel Tom will not force the ball to him. With the few catches he had last night, he was a beast.

Why isn't Gronk playing today against Chicago? Did he get hurt last week and I have forgotten?

Man, I thought this was one of those games where the wheels fall off in the first half the Pats cannot come back. Down 17-7, Hogan went off injured, Michel went off injured. Nice way to come back and get the first road win of the season and get to 5-2. Patterson made atoned nicely for his awful fumble. Loved the block kick returned for a TD. Some nice turnovers forced. Wasn't the cleanest win, but it was a win.

Somehow I can't imagine any cleanliness for the rest of the season. Thing is, we keep on putting up close to 40 pts a game lately and winning yet I feel we continue to miss many opportunities and look sloppy. Go figure.

Any word on Bret Bielema still being on staff with the Patriots? I ask because he used to coach the Badgers and then got fired at Arkansas. Belichick hired him as a personal consultant but never announced it as official, only that “he’s a good fit and people like him.”
