When a fan of the team with the ABSOLUTE WORST record of playoff futility in NFL history comes in here to talk smack...
A fan of a team that hadn't won a home playoff game in 25 years!!!!!!
A fan of the team with a coach who is one of the all time GREAT regular season coaches and all time WORST playoff coaches..
Dude stats are for losers....
Maybe Mahomes wins a SB this year he has a shot....but if he doesn't Brady's first full season will "far surpass" Mahomes in terms of success and and the only "stat" that matters...number of RINGS
Mahomes had the "prettier" stats in the last game (outside of the 2 interceptions) played between these 2 teams as well....how did that turn out for your team????
Seriously, if I were a Chiefs fan with all the history of playoff failures I would be more than a little nervous going up the greatest post season QB and coach in NFL history....but hey whatever floats your boat....
Well, that would be the Lions - one postseason victory in the last 60 years.
But it's fair to say that the Chiefs are next in line, or at least tied (with the Bengals) for the the worst postseason record of any NFL team outside of Michigan.
I wouldn't be surprised to see them win. But I wouldn't be surprised to see the Patriots win, either. It's impressive (and not in a good way) that a stadium on which ground was broken when The Beatles were still together is just now getting around to hosting a conference title game for the first time.
Other comment:
Until today, QBs in their 40s have only made six postseason starts in NFL history. Brady has made four and Favre made two. Brady and Brees (who just turned 40 since the divisional round) will be the next two.
When I hear names from every other team that I think I remember from being a Patriot, I need to look it up to make sure I am correct...this would have been nice.....
Chiefs are 5-1 against Patriots at Arrowhead Stadium.
Arrowhead Stadium set the Guinness world record for the loudest outdoor stadium during a September 2014 game between the Chiefs and the Patriots.
New England has not won a road playoff game since beating the Chargers 24-21 in the divisional round in the 2006 season.
Brady is 8-4 in AFC championship games, going 6-1 at home but 2-3 on the road.
Kansas City is 8-1 at home this season.
LMAO. I don't think a team that pulled off what could be the greatest comeback of all time (down 25 mid 3rd in a Super Bowl) is scared of a team that pulled off what might be one of the greatest collapses of all (up 28 early 3rd & up 17 late 3rd). Different teams yes, apples to oranges yes, but the truth remains this is one of the greatest postseason QBs and coaches against one of the worst postseason coaches, a coach who curls up into the fetal position at the first sign of adversity.
And by the way, not a fan of either team, but if some fan base is going to talk smack its the Pats fan base because they have earned whatever they want to crow about. What have the Chiefs done in the playoffs the last 60 years?? Blow double digit second half leads?? I picked the Pats because I think experience and better coaching wins out, but this could go either way, but for Chiefs fans, why not wait until your team wins a major game before you talk??
So many rare bone headed penalties on Pats players (off sides, PI, roughing the QB). Win or lose, Belichick's going to have a lot of Pats players walking back to Foxborough.
