Just figured it out, it's a rebuilding year. It'll be nice to see Peppers coming off the edge next year. Oh yeah, it's gonna happen.

Peppers will not play in NE. He wants waaaay too much money and we dont break the bank for anyone aside from Brady who is due a new contract soon, so is Wilfork and I believe Mankins is due soon also. We need a pass rush. These kids in the scondary cant cover all day. When you have a guy who averages 178 yards per game throw for over 320... you need pressure and we have NONE!

Some of the trades that the Patriots have made have worked well for them, and some haven't. Considering the defensive line problems, I'm questioning the trade of Richard Seymour to the Oakland Raiders. Did the Patriots have problems with him with a future contract looming, was it a problem in the locker room with him? At the time the trade was made, it might have raised an eyebrow or two. Now? Hmm.

Still think the Seymour trade was a good move. A 1st rounder for a guy in the last year of his contract, kinda injury riddled, who probably would've bolted at the end of the season. More disappointed with guys like Warren, Green, and Wright, very inconsistent and no help protecting the very young, very inexperienced secondary.

You just answered my question. "The last year of his contract". Thanks bevman!

Add to that the fact we have to pay Wilfork also, someone had to go.

I agree 100% with this. Not too many of the so called experts can see this and I dont see why. I dont think the secondary is that bad, they just cant cover for 7 seconds. NO ONE CAN.

Has any NFL defense gone from "old and slow" to "young and inexperienced" as fast as this one? Can't remember one.

They OVER compensated for thier slow and old from last year. I still think that if they had a premiere pass rusher they would be OK. Even Seymour who wasnt top notch commanded alot of doubles which helped Jarvis Green and Ty Warren quite a bit!
