I just don't see him making it either, especially since the Pats are so deep at receiver and tight end this year. I am very interested in how the running game will go this year.
Anytime u have to be told where to line up your second year in, that's a no-no.
The offense, namely the passing game is the least of my concerns.
This defense and its new editions concern me far more. Especially the fact that first round pick Hightower has not signed as of yet.

I would not even think to hit the panic button on the bolded fact. Remember not even four years ago, picks didn't get signed until training camp started and in some cases, well after camp. It is only June 4th, I would not worry yet.
I'm more worried about the fact that they are reporting that he came in to OTA's heavier then expected and has only gotten reps at ILB. I figured with Mayo and Spikes we were pretty good there, but then again having him learn both is probably what BB is doing.
This is actually the first time since Rodney & Teddy both left that I am very excited about the talent on defense. I think we have a good mix of young guys, and vets to make this thing work.

I think the play of Mayo and Spikes are going to factor heavily into where Hightower is going to end up. For some reason I see them staying with a 4-3 base, with maybe Hightower playing outside mostly in that group, and maybe even defensive end on third downs.
Without the attitude though. He just never fit into the Pats' system which requires more mental agility from receivers, and where Brady is working to a much more exacting standard.
In Cincy, the reports were that Ocho just did his own thing, and was able to make that work. That doesn't fly in the land of Bill and Tom.

Seems to be a good guy, but gotta be able to run more than a go-route in the Pats' system. Wish him luck wherever he goes.
