Stop sulking on the sidelines like a little child. Just because you have had your butt kissed your whole life and told how great you were, doesnt give you an excuse to sulk when things dont go your way. This isnt college where receivers are open by ten yards, and your ability isnt going to bring you much success all by itself. Start hitting the playbook and film room, and stop sulking. If you wanna run with the big boys man up Scam~

Sophmore slump. And now that teams have more film on him....well... it happens. Time to start making adjustments. And you're correct... man up!

Ouch. Goes a bit deeper than Newton though, believe the Panthers started to address it (finally) with the firing of Marty Hurney. Do agree that Cam needs to quit pouting and become the leader of this team. It's what QBs are.

Sam Bradford had a bad second year as well. I read somewhere in a fantasy football tome that in the last 5 years especially, there have been many position players (RBs and WRs as well) that have fallen to this emerging trend. It used to be that the third year for QBs and WRs especially were when the position began to flourish, but lately, many rookies have come in and taken the league by storm. This was never the way the career development curve used to arc. The initial euphoria, which I think is driven partially by the need for the NFL to sell merchandise (hyping rookies = an increase in jersey sales) attempts to pump the player up right away. But we are ultimately a feeding frenzy society that will waste no time in tearing these guys down as quickly as they enjoy the initial success. I think of Vince Young as another example: he is now out of football altogether. Even on the defensive side, I can think of Ndamukong Suh and Shawne Merriman, even Javon Kearse, he flamed out too. I think the QB position is way more high profile, obviously, so this gets magnified all the more.

An early candidate for sophmore slump in 2013 might be RGIII or Andrew Luck. We shall see!

Pretty pathetic how personally you seem to enjoy the professional struggles of a guy you've never met.

I wonder why the Panthers decided to fire their GM, Marty Hurney, midway through the season. How does that auger well for the remainder of the season, performance-wise? I never understood the logic of firing an HC this way either, but canning the GM is even more quizzical.

How about firing your defensive coordinator mid-season because your biggest problems are your offensive line and turn overs?

Anyway, regarding Cam, he is totally acting like a child. Like others said MAN UP!

Shouldn't this really be addressed on the team thread, isn't that what they are for instead of all these separate one liner, I hate the QB or some other team member today?
