Got to hit them somewhere............. he popped him in the chest and it slid up, things happen ....... the problem with the hit wasn't so much the location, it was the timing .... the ball was out and he popped him - it was unnecessary because of timing, not so much that he was headhunting |

Ed Reed has been suspended for one game for hit on Emmanuel Sanders because league says he is a repeated offender. They say it's his third hit. First "illegal" hit was back in 2010.
He is the first player to receive a suspension with regards to illegal hits.

I thought I had heard something re suspensions!
... about time too. I realize most hits are not deliberate but when it is, then they are dangerous & unprofessional-the perpetrator shows his lack of integrity. (probably on AND off the field)
