Why does a seasoned, very-well-paid, Pro-football player take the time and energy to do TV advertisements? It's not like they need $ or more exposure...
Now granted some are very funny...
Seen the one where Peyton and Eli are dressed like fairies???
Drew Brees with food thrown on his face, after a Clay Matthews fan (inadvertently) hits his plate of food with her arm???
Clay Matthews turning opposite team players "upside down" ... as in the ad, a plug for a razor that shaves upward strokes? (shaving on tv... )
Troy Polamalu...oh dear, the Heads and Shoulders spokesperson. I think he is beginning to take this too seriously...
So do they want even more exposure? Talk of any kind/visual presence during season must pay off somehow...
or maybe only to sell products for sponsors?
Or for fun?
If I were in a career field where I faced the constant threat of being violently forced into retirement, I'd take all the endorsement money I could get. With that, this commercial is so bad it's offensive:
It is about the money, making it while you can. Being a small market, a few Packers are on national ads, more are in local market commercials. Many of them are on and have radio shows, local TV shows, Mike McCarthy has a show, too.
My question would be why would a football player do TV ads when his team has never had a winning record
Cam Newton
Hey, the Play 60 commercial with Cam and the little boy talking about becoming a football player is hilarious! Little boy to Cam "And you can be my backup? And make Panthers fans forget about you? And become your mom's favorite player?"

I love that ad plus the State Farm one where this girl goes into this long disertation about Rodgers QB play and dumping the pass off and he says is that a question, no just an observation!
