Do you think Texas would do well with another team? I ask this because I notice that Texas with a population of 26,059,203 has 2 NFL teams. And even if it got another one, where would it go? Would it be healthy for the other two teams or would all three falter a bit? Here is how it compares to other states:
New York with a population of 19,570,261 has 3 teams.
Florida with a population of 19,317,568 has 3 teams.
Pennsylvania with a population of 12,763,536 has 2 teams.
Ohio with a population of 11,544,225 has 2 teams.
Missouri with a population 6,021,988 has 2 teams.
Seems you left out California
California with a population of 37,691,912 has 3 teams.
Given that we'd have to combine NY and FL to have the population of California, and those two states have 6 teams, it implies that CALI should have 6 teams.
At a minimum, there should be a team in the Los Angeles area, perhaps moving Tampa or Jacksonville is in order.

I understand you'd say Jacksonville (which isn't happening anyway), but TAMPA?

Tampa Bay right now ranks 31 of 32 NFL teams in average home attendance, and have had many blackouts in recent years. While there is no indication that the Glazers plan to take action, and they have a favorable lease deal in Tampa, common folks have been bringing it up for a couple years.

One thing people have to keep in mind is that attendance isn't necessarily everything. It's the product you have on the field/court/ice that keeps people coming. That and (especially in the Cowboys case) GREAT marketing/history really helps. People say the Dallas Stars should be moved because of attendance is like 3rd or 4th to last... LAST season. But no one ever wants to talk about the 7 years straight when they were in the top 10 to 15.
Seriously, how well have the Bucs been since their last and only Super Bowl title?

If you go 3 years, and only a handful of home games are shown on local tv, I think it is fair to ask about the fanbase regardless of the on field performance. Remember, the Bucs were 10-6 just a couple years ago and still could not consistently sell out their stadium.
Given the growth both in population and economically, the San Antonio-Austin region is likely to gain an NFL team by either relocation or expansion some time in the near future. There is no other region in the country with better than 4 million people that does not have a team except this one. San Antonio and South Texas has been long overdue for an NFL club and the time may be drawing nearer to when this will actually happen. For those that question the financial wherewithal of the region to support pro sports checkout some of the economic pictures of some of the underperforming teams in the league and then compare them to San Antonio-Austin.
The South-Central Texas region has been booming economically for decades now and will most likely continue to boom for decades to come. The NFL is aware of this and will probably make plans to place a team here in the very near future.
