ESPN broke news that former Oilers & Saints head coach O. A. "Bum" Phillips died Friday at his ranch in Goliad, Texas. He was 90 years old.

I'm sorry to hear about that! I always liked Bum Phillips. I remember him very well from his years as head coach of the Houston Oilers. He was a good coach and he seemed to be a very nice man.

I remember Bum and the whole luv ya blue thing back when I was watching the Electric Company and Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood...

Had the big 10 gallon hat, jeans w/the oversized belt buckle....loved it...

Bum Phillips: Coach, Cowboy, Christian. That was the name of the book he wrote.

I remember Bum Phillips from his years with the Houston Oilers. They were the Boston Patriots nemesis rivals back in the day.
