Detroit Lions’ Ndamukong Suh fined $100,000 for illegal block against Minnesota Vikings

Detroit star Ndamukong Suh has been fined $100,000 by the NFL for his illegal low block in the season-opening victory over the Minnesota Vikings last weekend.

...
Suh said he wasn’t going after Sullivan’s knees, adding that the two discussed the play at halftime. Detroit players said Suh apologized to the team Tuesday.

The NFL fined Suh $30,000 last year for unnecessary roughness when he kicked Houston quarterback Matt Schaub in the groin area. He was suspended two games in 2011 after stomping on Green Bay’s Evan Dietrich-Smith.

For a guy that is never at fault according to him - he sure gets fined a lot.

Note that NFL fines are tax deductible.

What irritates me the most is that the guy has gobs and gobs of talent. He doesn't have to play like a d-bag to get attention.

Just a dumb move. Hopefully the higher fines inspire him to pull his head out.

Yeah, and Ray Lewis was fined $250,000 for his involvement in a MURDER.

He's a HERO now......whatever.....

The penalty during the game was enough.

How many fines before you are banned from the league?

These diddly-s*** fines are not taking player safety or sportsmanship seriously.

They should have a rule like the NBA Technical Foul rule - after so many personal fouls in football, you should be suspended for a game.

why throw a block when the ball is 10 yards past you already???

Suh is a major talent, but he's a real *******.
