Wow /....I didn't think of it that way! but you are right! This is now just a "pickup" game....SMH
No conference pride on the line like the NBA Allstar game with East vs West........

I don't understand why the NFL would allow players from different conferences to play on the same team. I'm so glad the MLB, NBA, and MLS doesn't do this crap as those leagues still have integrity when it comes to their all-star games. By the way, the NHL all-star game is a joke as well.

I actually prefer it to be after the Superbowl. Having it before the Superbowl lowers the talent pool as pro-bowl players whose teams are now in the Superbowl cannot participate out of fear of getting injured before the big game. Overall I blame Roger Goodell for ruining the Pro-Bowl. |

It could be a fun gimmicky game if every set of downs was required to have one of the following plays:
- Hail Mary
- Flea Flicker
- End Around
- Lateral
THOSE are the fun plays to watch!
Maybe they could bring back the Flying Wedge for just one game?

If the NFL wanted to make the pro-bowl worth while all they have to do is make it a money maker for the players. Say 100K for the winners and 50K for the losers with a bonus for MVP on both sides of the ball, say an added 10K.
