The game itself is a joke. I think I said this in the other thread Mike posted in, but they may as well just put flags on the players and make it flag football because that's basically what it is at this point anyways.

The players still didn't try when it was after the sb anyway. Players are not going to risk their careers for a game like the probowl. Most probably make the trip for the nice weather and to have a few cocktails.

That's assuming that everybody even understands Fantasy Football....I'm a die-hard NFL fan! But I won't touch Fantasy with a 10 foot pole. Too time consuming....
NFC vs AFC..............that's simple.

That's what I'm talking about.

I agree fully, but nothing is simple anymore when hype, buzz, and tens of millions of dollars are potentially on the table.

Years ago it mattered. Years ago players actually played hard and it meant something. Not any more. The players, especially pro bowl players, simply make too much (un-guaranteed) money to risk it in a exhibition game at the end of the season. They need to turn the Pro Bowl into the old ABC's All Stars events like running, jumping, weight lifting... stuff that can be fun to watch but has little risk for injury.

I thought nothing could be dumber than baseball giving home field advantage to the All Star winner. Then this idea came along.

With the limited tread most NFL players have on them in terms of typical career length, it's senseless to have them play in another game that literally means NOTHING to anyone, from the fans to the players. Kill it.
