I agree and how long can we continue to mention rings if he is constantly throwing interceptions and missing the playoffs year after year.
Exactly. Ive noticed this from Giants fans.. (some not all, I know a few who want him out). This is a "what have you done for me lately" type league. Someone else mentioned his success is mostly luck and I agree. IMO, a 2 time SB MVP shouldnt be leading the league in INTs and missing the playoffs if he is as elite as some say he is. (You know other elite QB's like Rodgers, Brady and Brees would never lead the league in INTs.. )
Then again, I am a Cowboys fan and my QB is known for his INTs as well lol
I would say he is not elite as a Giants fan, but I dont use these past two seasons as a measuring stick. When Eli was rolling, the Giants were asking him to bail them out of games at the end. He takes risks. They have paid off before--like the now famous catch in the SB by Manningham. That was a risky and great pass. BUT, the past two seasons, the Giants offensive line has been horrid, and no one can be elite behind that crap that GM Reese has put together--I dont care who you are.
However, as a Giants fan, I can agree he is not elite because he is way too careless with the ball--even when he is rolling...
So would I since he has turned Denver into a SB contender and led the league in TD passses instead of intereceptions
