He has a good playoff record and played in 3 superbowls but was 0-2 in his last 2 sb appearances. Plus add to the fact that he was not in the playoffs for 5 straight years after losing the SB in 2002 giving him a overall record of 32-41 as a starter between 2002 and 2009.

2002-0-6 as a starter
2003-0-1 as a starter
2004-5-4 as a starter
2005-2-8 as a starter
2006-1-4 as a starter
2007-5-6 as a starter
2008-9-7 as a starter
2009-10-5 as a starter

He should eventually get in since he has a 8-4 playoff record but I am just thinking his career between 2002 and 2009 is what is stopping him from getting in right now. That's why I wanted him to win that lat SB so badly because I knew it would play a role in him not getting yet.

Plus he threw a Int that was returned for a TD in the last two SB's he played in which was a cause for his team losing both superbowls.

Agree or Disagree?

Didn't know anything about him and the HOF. I remember in 2007 when Warner came in for Leinart who was terrible or got injured or whatever it was and was terrific, and the Ravens were able to hold off a great comeback. Then Warner really impressed me the next couple years. I hadn't heard much of him since his St. Louis days. I guess he didn't do enough in the regular season over the years to get in perhaps. After all, both Manning and Brady have gotten their asses kicked in their last 2 SB appearances, but they're both going to the HOF.

He will get in eventually.

Someone on the radio put it like this: When you hear the name Kurt Warner do you think first ballot HOFer? When you hear the name Brett Favre do you think first ballot HOFer? One of them brings an immediate yes answer.

Manning and Brady are first ballot HOFers. Not fair to compare them to a guy like Warner. I do think Warner gets in eventually.

Yeah I know that's why I think it;s because of his overall record as a starter between 2002 and 2009. That's why I was really pulling for him to win that last SB because I felt that 2 SB rings would have overshadowed his career from 2002 to 2009.

Warner had a SB ripped from him due to Spygate and had one ripped from him vs the Steelers by the officiating......he's won everywhere he's went, first ballot HOFer if you ask me, one of the most underrated players ever.

But don't forget he throw a bad INT right before the half vs the steelers which was returned for a TD and ended up costing them the game. He also threw a INT that was returned for a TD vs the Pats in the 2002 SB. So I am not understanding the whole having something ripped from him when he himself cost his team the game with bad turnovers

I think he will get there just time as stated compared to Brady and Manning etc. Spygate etc. doesn't matter its the stats.

But if you ask the Selection Committee, no, he's not.

Of the 50 selected names Warner was in the top 10. With his popularity he'll eventually get into the HOF.
