The Arena Football League kicked off its 28th season tonight with a 60-44 Cleveland Gladiator victory over the Tampa Bay Storm and a game still in progress between Portland and LA.

This year, the AFL added the Las Vegas Outlaws, but still shrunk to 12 teams.

Anyone still watch or even keep up with arena football?

The Arizona Rattlers were fairly interesting to me at one time, and I even went to A game -- ONCE. However, for some reason, Arena Football never was a grabber for me, and I drifted away... as I'm doing now...

I was interested when they brought back a team in Dallas, even if they weren't the Desperados. When they faded, along with San Antonio, even the historic Chicago Rush, I have been losing interest.

I do...it helps fill in the idol time until the NFL season starts. I like the faster tempo and high scoring...not boring in the least.

I was following the Tampa Bay Storm at one point, but I kind of lost track somewhere along the line. Arena's season runs from what month to what month now?

I have to say that I also kind of enjoyed the Iowa Barnstormers back when they had QB, Kurt Warner. I used to refer to them as the Goggle Heads, (because of their helmets) before I actually knew their name!

March to August, I believe. Even with only 12 teams, they're still playing 18 games a season.

Wow! 18 games? That is quite a bit.

I would like to see them expand where there is No NFL. Like Hartford, Memphis, Columbus OH, Sacramento, Raleigh NC, Norfolk or Hampton VA, Salt Lake City, Louisville, Oklahoma City.
