I'm amazed he was unwilling to take a pay cut like he had this great season. I like to see what other team is going to pay him a lot of money when he likes to tip toe in the hole on 3rd and inches.

I dont think they will have the Giants play an interconference game or an intradivisional game, so that cuts out the AFC North and the NFC East. The two biggest possibilities left are the Saints and the Packers. I think the NFL will go Green Bay...because as I stated earlier, I dont think they will make the Saints do that rodeo twice in a row. Yes, GB would do it twice in a row as well, but in the Saints case, they traveled to Green Bay last season. I dont think they are going to make the Saints travel to the defending SB champs twice in a row. Hence, Green Bay.

Hey, I could be wrong, but that is my feeling...
I was wrong...the NFL has announced that the Giants will open the season against the Cowboys, on Sept 5. Glad Im not a gambling man!

The Cowboys, are you kidding me? I was hoping it would be the Packers, last year the Packers played the Saints previous SB winners so I assumed . . . . . . . but I know what happens when you do!

Might be good for GB as I hear the reigning SB champs usually win the game!

On Grant, he is saying he wants to stay in GB. Hard to tell what Ted will do as he has surprised us by getting Saturday from the Colts. Ted is not big on free agency but we really needed a veteran center.

I agree, too early for rivalry games, I too figured xSB champs vs defending SB champs would kick off 2012, bummer. . . can't wait til football season starts!!

I guess Jerry Jones and Cowboys, bigger market, more people watching counts more than 2 previous SB winners, especially when one is Green Bay! There we are under the radar again!

Kind of stupid for the Giants to play a team who was not in the playoffs last season. Roger Goddell is the dumbest man on the planet. Too weird to be a commissioner

The reasons you guys listed are the reasons I thought for sure that it would be GB @ NYG. I know that Dallas and the Giants creates buzz, but in this case, I think the GB-NYG matchup is way better...
