Please somebody help me out with my original question: Why is the government getting involved? When did it become a matter of National Security?

Hey X I am right there with you. They should stay out of sports and pay attention to Iraq, healthcare, the economy etc. I think the reason they are doing it is for publicity, plain and simple. They want to get their names in the headlines to make sure they can get reelected. And when is Spector going to get the most publicity, just days before the biggest NFL game. Just doing what the government does best, wasting our money.

they're getting involved because Sen. Spector is a ticked-off Eagles fan, who ought to be investigating why McNabb choked in that game and why the Eagles can't run a two minute drill.....

Well... I guess the latest is that Goodell is meeting with Sen. Spector next week.
