We’ve obtained a memo that went out to all 32 teams reflecting that, starting Oct. 12, clubs are subject to a new fine schedule for exceeding the limits on video and any moving content. Those are particularly strict during the 60 minutes leading up to games, and through games, with clubs largely limited to re-posting from the NFL’s own accounts (with some allowance for approved content on Snapchat). The memo says that first-time offenders will be fined up to $25,000, a second offense will warrant a fine of up to $50,000, and a third offense will merit a fine of up to $100,000 and loss of rights to post league-controlled content.

So is this just the team websites, or does this include all players personal accounts?

I think this just has to do with the individual players' Twitter/Facebook accounts. Roger Goodell is way out of hand and needs to be stopped.
meh...wouldn't be any different than a TV or movie star posting movie clips on their own social media and not expect protest from the studio
Except the players/teams aren't posting game footage leading up to the game. Maybe more like the movie star posting behind the scenes of the making of the movie. I suppose the studio would have a problem with that since it'd take away from their 'extras' they could sell with the DVD release later.

Well if this is being done with the goal of helping to stop the slow downfall of the NFL ratings, one could looks at this as a positive for the players if the ultimate goal is achieved. Overall league revenue might actually decrease eventually if ratings continue to go down. That would not be beneficial for the players or owners.
This is counter-productive because all of these videos are basically free advertising for them...
Or do casual fans get their fix on social media and decide not to tune into the actual game? Instead of watching a whole game or a half they catch five minutes.
