Didn't watch a second of the NFL today and have to say I didn't miss it one bit. Caught a little baseball and enjoyed the outdoors. Not sure if there was continued disrespect for the country on one of the most solemn days in American history but it would not surprise me.

Exactly. I didn't watch any of the national anthem action and didn't care. The games were awesome and should have taken away from that business anyway.
Wonder why it bothers people so much when players use their 1st amendment privileges to try to have a conversation about an issue that affects millions, which is the beauty of the idea of American freedom, that soldiers died to defend?

The average American doesn't have a gifted billion dollar platform to express their opinions. A single person's views (right or wrong) can be delivered to millions of people with a NFL platform. Even politicians have to have the endorsement (funding) of many-many people to express their opinions. Yet these athletics are using a platform that is (was) not intended for this purpose. Today if I support the NFL I am supporting this platform. NO THANKS
Many many people will boycott 49er games, like I boycotted Eagles games when the dog-killer played. Stunts like colon did are ratings reducers. Less money, attendance. Fewer hot dogs and beer sold.......

the stadiums could be empty and the NFL would still be printing money

If you had this platform and you had something you really believed in, don't tell me you would not use that platform to your advantage to get other people to listen to your cause.

I don't buy the boycott bid will do any damage to the pockets of owners. Boycott only means more tickets available on stubhub for sale.
Long ago, when most of the players could no longer articulate, and "you know" became the catch phrase every other sentence, we turned off professional football.
