Whenever the argument of Brady' being a system quarterback came up, I always defended him and said "No way, he is the greatest QB of all-time". I considered him without a doubt the greatest QB of all-time. I must admit I now have doubts. Still think Brady is great, I just don't think he'd be nearly as great if not on Patriots. To me a guy like Elway, who played in the worst possible system for his style under Reeves, yet still managed to be great would draw consideration for greatest of all time.

It's a system team. As much as I hate, loathe, despise Belicheat, he's a god damn genius. People drop like flies and he just plugs the holes with warm bodies and keeps winning.
Matt Cassell's Pats went 11-5 without Brady.
While Tom is a very, very good, I believe that Belichek knows how to get the most out of his guys at every position, including Tom @ QB.
System or not, Tom is still a GOAT.

It doesn't hurt his legacy at all. Did you watch the Houston game? Brissett was 11/19 for 103 yards 0 TD. Running he had 8 rushes for 48 yards a 1 TD. He accounted for a little over 150 yards of total offense. He didn't go out there and put up huge numbers. My point is that the Patriots beat Houston by winning in all 3 phases of football - offense, defense and special teams. Whether people like it or nor, New England consistently is a well prepared team and more often than not executes their team game plan. Thursday night was yet another case of this happening. If Tom was playing Thursday night the game would have been even worse of a blowout.
The whole "Brady is a system QB" is such a weak and lame argument. Would Montana have won all of his titles if he wasn't in Bill Walsh's system? What did Montana do? He took the system Walsh established and ran it very well and elevated it. It's the same thing Tom is doing in New England.
Yes New England went 11-5 with Cassel in 2008 - that team also won 5 less games and scored over 100 fewer points than in 2007.
From 1981 to 1989, Joe Montana had a starting record of 84-32, a winning percentage of .724.
In that same time period, Steve Young was 7-2/.778 as a starter for the 49ers.
Also during that same span, Matt Cavanaugh and Jeff Kemp and Mike Moroski and Bob Gagliano were a combined 7-2-1/.750 starting for San Francisco. Those two losses and the tie were all Kemp's - Cavanaugh and Moroski and Gagliano were undefeated, 4-0 together.
How much does that hurt Joe Montana's legacy? I'd say "Not one bit".
How many playoff games or Super Bowls has Belichick won as a head coach without Brady? Going 4-0 with three of those games at home does not diminish Brady's legacy. Nor does the 11-5 season with Cassel, which was one of the weakest schedules the modern NFL has seen. If I'm remembering right, only two of those eleven wins came against playoff teams, and one of those was Arizona in a blizzard after Arizona had clinched.

because Matt Cassel = Steve Young?
matt cassel couldn't even beat out Matt Leinart at USC and you know how well Matt Leinart worked out.
what has matt cassell ever done since? and we have 15.5 games of proof, not just one or two.
