The Buccaneers got lucky last year with the Panthers playing bad. I am not sold on the Buccaneers yet.

That's rough. Though, i don't expect the Cowboys to be as good. the NFC East hasn't had a repeat champion for 13 years now. i expect Sophomore slump from Elliott and Prescott.
It will be tough but this year's schedule was very tough as well. I think that they'll be alright. Hard to say who will go to the SB but they should be a good playoff team.

This is a list for teams that have never won a Superbowl.

I think the Falcons have a good chance of winning one within the next three years, and possibly after that, regardless of whether they win within the next 3 years or not. I can see them playing the Patriots in the SB again next year. The Panthers can be contenders if they shore up their offensive line and to a lesser extent their defense. Cam Newton struggled last year because the O line failed him in 2016 the same way that Brady's O line failed him in 2015. The difference was Brady was crafty enough to put up a MVP-caliber season that year anyway, although he ultimately lost to Cam himself that year in MVP voting. But we all saw how Cam collapsed when faced with the same obstacle that Brady overcame. That's the difference between a borderline great QB and an all-time great QB. The Texans can also be SB contenders if they get a good QB.

That I can agree with. They're a QB away. but they better do it quick.. They've got so much locked up in Watt that when folks like Hopkins and Clowney finish up their rookie contracts.. They may not have enough money to keep them.

It certainly won't be the Browns because of how bad they are as a team but my guess that the next team without a Super Bowl win that will win a Super Bowl is the Falcons. They've got the talent but they ran out of gas towards the end of the Super Bowl.

I know that! My post was in reference to the one ahead of mine, mentioning the Cowboys might not be a strong team next year and I pointed out some issues. Previous poster was talking about the Falcons who do seem to have a tough schedule.

Default I'm going with Atlanta and not because they're my team. I look back at history for this one.

Gillette Stadium is home to the New England Patriots. Here's a little history about the venue. Bill Belichick, was hired in 2000, Gillette Stadium, was opened in 2002. We already know how successful that franchise is but until 2001 they we just like Atlanta, a team searching for an identity. Why is this important. Dan Quinn was hired in 2015 a year after Mercedes-Benz Stadium broke ground. If you dig deeper Arthur Blank hired Dan Quinn in a similar manner as Robert Kraft when he hired Belichick and gave him full control of the roster. Dan Quinn isn't the General Manager but he is effectively the 3rd most powerful Head Coach in the league behind Pete Carol his old boss and Belichick (Thomas Dimitroff was one of his scouts). This actually sets Atlanta up interestingly. Over the past few days both coordinators are gone but the offensive scheme will be the same as will the defense that has been bad for years now. The Super Bowl masked that defect until it reared its ugly head again.

The Georgia Dome will always hold a special place in our hearts but it was home to a very dysfunctional, a time laughable and honestly bad franchise that never had an identity or substance. I don't believe Atlanta got to the Super Bowl off luck. Dan Quinn got this team where it needed to be even if Kyle Shanahan got a lot of the credit. Time will tell but I doubt this young Falcons team reaching the big dance was an accident and with the destruction of the Dome on the horizon, this Atlanta team is different than its predecessors. This Falcons team has substance as evident by their energy in the first 3 quarters of the Super Bowl. I don't see them folding in their new house next year. I wouldn't be surprised if they altered the uniforms a bit because this is effectively a different team. I'm not saying Atlanta will be the Pats but they were like similar teams at one point, got the right coach and a new house and the rest is history. I think Atlanta will add more talent and the pride of protecting their new home will bring out the best in them.

Why Atlanta won't end up like Carolina? For one thing Carolina didn't have 4 rookies starting on defense. They were a veteran lead team. Carolina also let go of their best cornerback which exposed their secondary something Atlanta won't do with Trufant and Alford. Finally Matt Ryan didn't pout like a baby when he lost. He was a true professional about it because he is more mature. It is possible Atlanta could degress but the chances of it happening are minimized by Quinn, Ryan's maturity and no longer having inexperienced rookies but a bunch of 2nd and 3rd year players who have Super Bowl experience under their belts.

Well thought out post, an interesting read, strong points! Every season is different, yes, the Falcons could struggle, but I don't see them being like the Panthers, in the way the team is built. They aren't going to lose their core, if anything they could add to it and be stronger.

I see people talking about Houston but they have no decent QB and they're in they'd have to get past New England currently and Oakland has a nice young core who's "got next" after the Patriots fade.

1)ATL
2)Minnesota (Team is a legit QB away from being dangerous)
3)Cincinnati (build around Dalton & Green)

What if Detroit catches fire and wins the whole thing for 17/18? LOL, that would be crazy.
