I am not a football fan but I think of this guy's story frequently. He essentially had a 40 million dollar lottery ticket and ripped it up! I surely thought he was going to be found guilty of these two murders also as the prosecution's story seemed realistic especially since the star witness claimed to be shot in the head by Aaron.
I think of the arrest photo with him being led away in cuffs from his mansion wearing the red shorts and the white t-shirt pulled over his torso. Did that kid realize that was the last day he would wake up as a free man? I couldn't imagine being a NFL player with a huge contract with a winning team one day and looking at life in jail the next.
I can't get my head around this kind of behavior. OK, at a young age, he lost his dad with whom he had been close. I get that. But can't get why he would embrace the thug culture, even after hitting the NFL jackpot. I mean, he seemed even after going into lock-up to be proud of this "bad boy" image. It can't be immaturity but rather a serious chemical imbalance in the gray matter.

I guess there's something "exciting" about being a thug to certain athletes. What a waste.
Hernandez has the same lawyer who got Casey Anthony off for murder, so there is a (remote) chance he won't spend the rest of life in prison if Baez can get his conviction thrown out. But I'm very sure no one is going to be calling him for a roster spot even if he gets off and out of prison.
Exactly. Even if Hernandez is released from prison no one will sign him. Besides, I highly doubt that they will release him from prison anyways.
