I think of the arrest photo with him being led away in cuffs from his mansion wearing the red shorts and the white t-shirt pulled over his torso. Did that kid realize that was the last day he would wake up as a free man? I couldn't imagine being a NFL player with a huge contract with a winning team one day and looking at life in jail the next.

I can't get my head around this kind of behavior. OK, at a young age, he lost his dad with whom he had been close. I get that. But can't get why he would embrace the thug culture, even after hitting the NFL jackpot. I mean, he seemed even after going into lock-up to be proud of this "bad boy" image. It can't be immaturity but rather a serious chemical imbalance in the gray matter.

I guess there's something "exciting" about being a thug to certain athletes. What a waste.

Exactly. Even if Hernandez is released from prison no one will sign him. Besides, I highly doubt that they will release him from prison anyways.

And even if they do, probably won't be much interest in a 65-year-old tight end.

he'll still die in jail so not all is lost

According to news reports, sooner rather than later so no more conversation about a possible release.

Oh well, looks like he won't be making a comeback after all.

Must've been depressed for being found not guilty. That doesn't help his street cred.
