I'm calling Mahomes and Trubisky busts. I have no faith in them. I feel better about Deshaun Watson. Guy is just a winner.

QB possibilities are always great (and we as fans are always hopeful)... until they prove to be otherwise -- or an injury happens. It's hard to have complete faith in any of them!

Don't know really anything about Trubisky, but Mahomes played on a team with the #128 defense. Can't really pin any losses on him in 2016: four were on the D, two more were due to lack of effective run threat plus the terrible D, and one, Kansas State, happened simply because Kingsbury was out-coached by the Wizard (D probably played a role there, too). Also Tech's OL was spectacularly bad the entire season, maybe next-to-last in the Big 12. In spite of all that, he was the nation's leading passer, without the benefit of a bowl game.

Playing in the Big 12 there were no defenses so Mahomes licked his chops against those weak defenses. It won't be that way in the NFL. I remember watching the game against Oklahoma where both QB's (Mayfield also) through for ridiculous numbers like 700 passing yards and 8 touchdowns, etc. Shaking my head this isn't football, it's a video game. Terrible game even though the numbers were huge.

He did put up four TD's against LSU in the 2015 Texas Bowl (against Jamal Adams and other talented defensive players). We'll see.

Anyone rooting for their team to draft a QB this year (about half the league) needs to hope for both the 49ers and Bears to land in the top 5. Hopefully the 49ers get #1 or #2 and the Bears can get #3 or #4.

Even if the Bears got the number one pick they’d probably trade it away to “move up” in the draft.
