The Bills have played terribly on the road all season. They have been completely creamed in their last two games. Yet, 7 out of 7 CDers have picked the Bills to beat the Chargers on the road. I'm leaning towards picking the Bills this week too but I thought it would be much more of an against the grain type pick.
Yeah but you are talking about the homeless Chargers who have more inconsistency than the Santa Anna winds
Buffaloes, Chargers....I think the Buffaloes will win that one.
The one I worry most about is My Finz and the Succaneers. Two bottom ten teams meeting up after one barely beat the Jets and the other lost to the Panthers.
In the Words of Chris Burlap
Titans @ Steelers...this would be a game the Steelers can lose Lions @ Bears Buccaneers @ Dolphins
Redskins @ Saints
Rams @ Vikings
Cardinals @ Texans...hard to call this one w/o Watson Bills @ Chargers...if Bills start back playing good
Chiefs @ Giants
Ravens @ Packers...depends on Packers D and Hundley Jaguars @ Browns Patriots @ Raiders Bengals @ Broncos...could go either way
Eagles @ Cowboys...gotta pick the Cowboys but man...no Lee, Elliott or Smith..
Falcons @ Seahawks
Opps...forgot to highlight Chiefs @ Giants
Didn't really need to at this point.
For those who picked the Bills, are you thinking otherwise now that Tyrod Taylor has been benched in favor of rookie Nathan Peterman? Just curious.
No, the benching of Tyrod Taylor has no bearing on me picking the Bills against the Bolts. Bills were struggling offensively with Taylor under center. It's not his fault. The Bills have a lack of talent on the offensive side of the ball. The worst case scenario for Nathan Peterman is to struggle offensively and they were doing that anyway, so there's nothing to lose with this QB change. Why would McDermott wait until it's too late and when they're out of playoff contention to see what they have in Peterman? Yeah, I know Taylor's feelings are hurt, but the ship is sinking now and we've seen this from the Bills for many seasons. They have gotten off to a hot start only to fizzle and miss the playoffs repeatedly. If Peterman can move the ball and put points on the board against a formidable Chargers defense, it looks like a genius move.
The more concerning issue is the Bills defense. That was supposed to be their calling card and they're terrible right now. It doesn't matter what their offense does if their defense plays as bad as it has the last 2 weeks. With all this negative talk about the Bills, I still like them here just because I think the homeless Carson Chargers will find a way to beat themselves as they have historically done. It should be a close game though.
