Some great games going on, Steelers & Bengals, Bears & Dolphins, who thought the Dolphins would give the Bears a game?
Miami-Chicago was a toss-up type game, but when it was announced at the last second that Brock Osweiler would be the starter...uh yeah...that tilted the pendulum. But what a strange league; 7-0 game at the half becomes a shoot-out in the second half between not Dan Marino and Jim McMahon, but rather (gulp) Osweiler and Mitch Trubisky?! BTW, Osweiler in his first game as a Dolphin had a career high today in passing yards and the teams had over 900 total yards of offense. And again, mind you, it was 7-0 at the half.
Big lost opportunity by Cinci, who always seems snake bitten vs the Steelers when the games matter the most. Thought they had this one. Would have had a substantial lead in the division, and up multiple games in the divisional games/tie breakers vs both the Ravens and Steelers.
And then in typical Dolphins fashion, one yard from victory in overtime, Kenyan Drake fumbles it away. Unreal. Dolphins and Bengals: how ironic when push comes to shove. Loser organizations for more than a generation.
We've had crazy OT games almost end in ties week after week. Dolphins do pull it out on the very last play after ex-Dolphin kicker Cody Parker misses a 52 yard fg. Will never understand these tightly wound NFL coaches. Bears have 1st down at the Dolphins 41 and run three conservative running plays to set up for a fg on grass from 53 yards away?? Osweiler might have to get a look as the Dolphins starter going forward instead of Tannehill.
6-4, don't mind the 4 as I picked the Bears, the L helps the Packers!
