Eagles following in line of teams that win the Super Bowl (other than the Patriots) and have so much good karma along the way, then seemingly have nothing but bad karma and give away games the following season. I remember all those crazy losses Tampa Bay had for example, the year after they won the Super Bowl about 15 years ago, including the Peyton Manning-led 3 TD comeback in the final 4-1/2 minutes. What a crazy comeback by Carolina.
Maybe I was wrong about the Texans and their fraudulent 3-game losing streak heading into today. Bill O'Brien seems to have 90 lives! Great and unexpected win for them today, and now the questions really mount for Jacksonville.
Tampa just won- yet another OT game decided very late in the stanza- and more over, Catanzaro has kicked 63 and this time, 59 yarders to win games after missing at the end of regulation from 40. Browns too, a lot of woulda-coulda-shoulda games less far.
5-4 for me after the early games (since Thursday). Certain losses (and wins) I did not expect!
Good picking there, Mr Seven!
On to the later games...
I’m not sure it’s more “good picking” then “good luck.” The old adage “it’s better to be lucky than good” certainly applies here. I just had a week where I just happened to get lucky, and the bounces in the teams I picked went my way, and for a lot of other posters on here it bounced the other way. And I’m sure there will come time(s) where Lady Luck turns into a *****.
I just can't get over these atrocious defenses in the last few minutes of games. Kickers and wind issues in the Atlantic corridor helped bail out the Saints and Redskins in games played in Maryland. Why defensive coordinators can't just play it the same way that it worked for you for the better part of 58 minutes, I have no idea. I swear the NFL pays these guys off to try and sustain suspense. Letting that putrid Dallas offense almost score a second time in the final 1:37 was ridiculous. Washington is not a good football team. But yet here we are, Jay Gruden and Bill O'Brien are head coaches of first place football teams.

8-4 after the later games today.
We go to the night game and Bengals @ KC Chiefs...
Another pathetic picking performance by yours truly! 6-6 with Chiefs and Falcons to go. I don't care though. I was just glad to see Jerry's World's game-tying field goal get rejected by the left upright.
