my biggest suprize was the Jacksonville Jaguars. mostly David Garrards performance with only 3 interceptions. plus they were the first ones to snap pittsburghs home game winning streak, and then did it again in the playoffs by beating them at home, which was the only team that could do that. since then i have learned to respect david garrard because he is one of the better quarterbacks

My surprise was the Washington Redskins making it to the playoffs! Also, I was surprised that the Carolina Panthers really were not that great again, I had high expectations from them.

ya todd collins did great near the end, and they finished the season strong with the loss of sean taylor, which i though they showed great poise

Biggest surprise? The Giants knocking off the Patriots in the Super Bowl! That had to be one of the biggest upsets in sporting history!

The OP said "regular" season. However, I do agree that was the biggest surprise of the the "entire" season.

ya i knew if i said "the season" all i would get is the giants, so lets stick to regular season, although it was a great accomplishment

actually, it was mos def college football and the curse of the number two teams.. sooo many upsets, especially stanford beating usc and illinoise > ohio state
