I wonder if it's just the simply reason of tightening up the jersey thus making it a little hard to grab the collar area. Or if it has a deeper rebellion meaning, either against the NFL and/or the player association. Thoughts?
When I played (not in the NFL obviously) we would tuck in our sleeves because sometimes they would get in your way if you were extending your arms. It gives you a sense of free movement.
It probably is, I just wonder why the NFL allows it as they typically fine heavy for uniform violations...
