A class act at its finest. Even if you dont like his religious views you cant call him on how he conducted his retirement.

Good Luck KW. I bet he didnt want to chance any more potential long term concussion damage. Hes got the cash, may as well live off the lecture circuit now. He could easily do a speech a month and clear 200k/yr.

Good guy--his class and example for young players will be missed.

So do a lot of the players that are already there. I think that says a lot about the man and his mark on the game.

There is that old saying about retirement; you don't want to retire a year too early or stay a year too late. That is especially true for quarterbacks.

What a great career THIS guy had. And it was a career that almost didn't happen. But as he was sacking groceries at that Hy-Vee grocery store, he never doubted himself or his abilities. He felt he could not only play in the NFL, but could be a great player. And that's just what he turned out to be!

And there is no doubt in my mind that he will go in the Hall on first ballot. Winning the one Super Bowl and putting his club (2 different clubs at that) in the position to win another with little time left on the clock.

Career wise, he has a lot of possibilities available to him. A good friend of mine who lives just outside of Phoenix told me on the phone that Kurt WILL stay in the Phoenix area. Like everyone has stated on this thread, Kurt Warner is indeed a class act, both on and off the field.

Thanks Kurt!

Warner will stay in Phoenix for now, and he still frequents St. Louis, where he has a lot of friends and is still extremely popular. It wouldn't surprise me if he up and moved somewhere new altogether at some point and did so a few times.

Thanks for the memories #13.

I'm so sad that Kurt is leaving, but he had a great career.

Hopefully, he won't pull a Brett Farve on everyone.

Goodbye, Kurt.

It would not surprise me to see Kurt come back to the NFL, but not as a player. As someone in the Front office or on the field coaching.

Then again, it would also not surprise me if he never came back either.

He is a very religious person - with his own ministry. He is very much of a family man - and loves his kids and his wife so deeply - he wants to be in that roll also.

However, I somehow think he will be in the broadcast booth - and soon. He is articulate - down to earth - and very easy to listen too.

Next season - Fox Sports????
