Everyone keeps talking about there big gun quarterbacks, but Drew Brees just keeps getting the job done. What a class act, doesn't really look like a nfl QB, less than 6ft , but did you see the same Superbowl I did. What, he threw to like 12 different player's in the game, I'm tellin you this GB has nerves of steel, he spreads the ball around with almost perfect accuracy, knows how to move around the pocket better than any NFL I can thank of, knows how to find throwing lanes, has a split second release, has basicaly taken reciever's that may wouldn't be a factor on another team and utilize's them in way's that keep defense's all confused. He doesn't go out to be a hero, he goes out to win games, and has become a hero in the process. If Miami or SAN DIEGO only had known.

He's good. Two random thoughts have just popped up in my head:
-If you compare their first 32 games in the NFL, Matt Ryan has been better. (not saying anything but just saying)
-I bet in 20 something years from now we'll have to hear about the Brees family and his three sons who are all NFL quarterbacks and the oldest or middle kid will be making a bunch of commercials and the youngest will be a QB because Drew compelled him to be a QB.
-Drew, the Saints, and Payton are loved now but they'll be hated worse than NE because their swagger will rub other fan bases the wrong way.

I don't care what anyone says. It's not the point that he won that makes him good.He was a solid QB while in San Diego but they decided P.Rivers was a better option and I wondered why. Brees has been extremely consistent and actually has been getting better.Even if they lost,I still consider him a very solid QB but now he finally will get the respect he deserves.

My point and he wasn't exactly bad at San Diego, course I could see him being hated by other teams, especialy the way he's been tearing defenses apart. Of course, being from New Orleans I've seen about every game he's been in. Just this week before the Super Bowl every one was saying how New Orleans was good , but just didn't have enough fotr the Colts, before that Vikings, Cardinals, Miami, New England, Giants, Phili, man he upset everyone, but Dallas( who did beat us, but barely) Carolina and Tampa Bay were give me's. Man, even the President said his heart was for New Orleans, but the Colts were just to good. It's unbelivable how humble this team has been all year long. No locker room squables, no infighting no crying like you see so often on teams, it's been a real blessing and it start's with the coach and the field general(QB) on the team. It's not just what he's done on the field, but what he's done off the field that's made him such a leader you want on your football team.

No matter what sport,if there is no chemistry or people don't like each other;the teams rarely go far.

Oh yea this team has chemistry, along with the fan base, 800,000+ at the team parade a couple 100,000 people at the airport when they got home. The crazy thang is those numbers would have damn near been the same if they would have lost. WHO DAT

On one long drive in the second half Brees hit 7 different players with passes to get the score

Drew Brees's arm is a lot stronger then I thought. S.D. gave up on him when he tore up his shoulder in his last game with them. I personally had the exact same surgery as he did among others. I could barley reach my own foot throwing a football. You have to give him a lot of credit, the work he had to do to get back to where he was had to be insane. He has my respect big time, I know I went through rehab, the pain was no joke.

Like I say I watched every game, every interview this season, don't mistake his well mannered additude as a weakness. This guy is as tough as they get. He has a rocket for a arm and moves around the pocket like a cat. He doesn't get rattled when thangs aren't going just right. Cool as a cucumber in the pocket look at his passing totals year to year, They are incrediable.

As a Dolphins fan I cringe when I realize we took Dante instead of Brees.

Everyone in New Oeleans can feel your pain, heck we kept Arron Brooks and just let Jake Delomn go and went threw some real painful years and truely horrendous QBing it was horrible, painfull, upsetting & sickening to say the least.
Thank god coach Payton saw right threw the critics with DREW BREES
He's to small
He's injury prone
Can't win the big game
Doesn't have a strong enough arm
Can't start the second half with a on-side kick (oops that's another thread for the cry baby's)
It's never been better to be a SAINTS FAN WHO DAT
