We own a whirlpool gold dishwasher model number GU2455XTSB0. We purchased it four years ago when we remodeled out kitchen. I absolutely love this dishwasher. It cleans a full load of dishes on a light cycle and they come out very clean. We decided to upgrade and get the stain resistant coating on the inside of the dishwasher so I would not have to look at stains in my dishwasher. I am glad we upgraded because after four years the inside of the dishwasher looks as clean and new as the day we got it.
We did look at several other brands of dishwashers before we decided on getting this one but we were not happy with the structure of the others. The whirlpool had a sturdy top rack that we felt would not bend if we loaded it with heavy stuff. The whirlpool also has an adjustable top rack that most of the other dishwashers did not have. This dishwasher is also one of the quietest when running that I have ever come across. I can turn it on at night before going to bed and I do not hear it running. The price comparison of this whirlpool dishwasher and the other brands of dishwashers were a little different. The whirlpool was a little more money but in the long run we got a great dishwasher.
The only negative thing I would have to say is that the operation panel is electronic as many are and we actually had to replace it a little over a year after we bought the dishwasher. The steam vent is right by the main control board and the steam ended up shorting out the panel. It was easy to replace ourselves. But it cost almost half of what the dishwasher cost us. But I love how clean the dishwasher gets the dishes so it was worth it to me. I truly recommend spending the extra money and getting this dishwasher.
