Craftsman 6.75 Torque 190cc 21" Briggs & Stratton Push Lawn Mower

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

I've used a variety of lawn mowers in my life and honestly most of them turn out to be run-of-the-mill junk. Craftsman, however, I knew to be a good brand. I'd had a Briggs & Stratton mower before, and it was actually good. So I wasn't hesitant to buy this mower when I saw it on sale at Sears. Thankfully, I haven't been disappointed.

The Craftsman 6.75 Torque 190cc 21" Briggs & Stratton Push Lawn Mower is ideal for my yard. I live in your typical suburban neighborhood, so I don't need a self-propelled machine that does all the work for me. Our modest yard only measures about 300 ft. x 300 ft. and with this mower I can easily get it done in about an hour. I often let the grass grow an extra week between mowing, but this mower still performs. I've never had any problems starting it either, which is a relief. We've all had the mower that wouldn't start without a fight.

The only downside to this mower is that I often have to stop to empty the bag. Maybe the blades need to be changed, or maybe I just let the grass get too long. I'm not sure, but I haven't had this happen with other mowers. It's not a huge deal, but it does add a bit of a hassle to mowing when you have to stop 1/3 of the way through to empty the bag.

Overall, however, I'd still recommend this mower to anyone that wants a reliable lawn mower. Instead of buying a rebuilt mower of some stranger, for over $200 for a mower with a 2-year warranty and a reliability that you can only find with a quality name like Craftsman.
