2006 Jeep Wrangler SE

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

When we purchased our 2008 Jeep Wrangler SE, it was with the intention of it being a fun off-road vehicle, and not one that we would necessarily be using for commuting. We didn't get any additional features as this was more or less a big toy for us to have fun with. At the time we purchased the Jeep Wrangler, the MSPR was $18,390. It has a 2.4L engine, and we opted to get the standard 6-speed manual with OD. We were told that it would get 18/mpg city and 21/mpg highway, and this has been very accurate. The jeep seats 4, although the seating in the back can be a tight fit if a tall or larger adult is in the back. The bench in the back comes out easily if you need to transport something.

The control of the Jeep is good, and it responds quickly to turns. It has both driver and passenger airbags. I feel safe driving this vehicle, although as I said we mainly use it off-road. One of the best features is that all of the handles, knobs, and buttons feel very sturdy. This is really important when you are using a vehicle to play around in and mainly just beat up.

I feel that the Jeep Wrangler is not only easy to drive and use, but is extremely reliable. We have had no problems and have done nothing special other than routine maintenance, although it does have low mileage.

I love the look of the Jeep Wrangler, and feel that for the price we paid we got a very good deal. Not only does it perform well off-road, but it is reliable on the road and highway, although a bit of a bumpy ride on the highway.
