I have had this air conditioner for just over a year. What I do like about it is that it has a remote control, for ease of changing the temperature, and the digital display tells you the exact temperature that the room is at that time. Also there are three fan settings and an energy saver feature. It is also rather small, which is important because the windows in my home are not very big.

I like this unit because of its small size, its ability to cool my bedroom (though I would not use for a very large room), and its energy efficiency. It is important for both the environment and the bank account to be as energy efficient as possible so I am an advocate on both ends. The accordion sides of the unit stretch to the wall and stay pretty flush on the edges so as not to let any hot air (or bugs) in, or cold air out. I do still keep a towel there, just in case, but it is not wholly necessary. Of course, the remote control that it comes with is nice for convenience-sake because I do not have to get out of bed to make my room hotter or colder, and the digital display tells me the exact temperature in the room at all times so I know when I want to adjust it. Also, you can set the air for what temperature you would like the room to be and it auto-adjusts until that temperature is maintained.

As a drawback, it is not very high-powered. It would cool a medium sized room (I use it in my bedroom) but nothing much bigger. Also, after using it for a few months I noticed that it would rattle quite loudly, even after not running for long. The rattling is very annoying when trying to sleep. Also, it holds quite a bit of rain water from hanging outside. Rather than draining the water, a lot of it sits in the bottom which causes the unit to make a bit of a gurgling sound at times when it is on, and also caused quite a bit of water to drip on my floor when I removed the unit at the end of summer.

All in all it was not a terrible investment. I use it regularly, it was a very affordable price (I paid about $120 for it), and it cools my bedroom to a very comfortable temperature.
