This machine will make tea, hot cocoa and coffee. There is even a feature for iced tea. Plain water can also be heated quickly, to use for soups or other cooking requirements. It brews one cup at a time, meaning less waste and no carafes sitting around going cold.

Drinks are made by inserting K-Cup capsules containing tea leaves, coffee granules, cocoa, milk or cream. Keurig work with many leading drinks manufacturers such as Twinings to produce the cups, so drinks are of a great quality, and there are over two hundred to choose from. To use, a cup is inserted and you select a cup size. The machine takes about four minutes to heat the water up before brewing, but setting the timer means your drink can be made exactly when you want it. The timer function can be set to brew any drink when you want it; in the morning, after work, at the end of a meal etc.

The keypad is simple and basically self-explanatory. It allows you to select from five different cup sizes, as well as a range of temperatures. For added convenience you can even programm in a favorite setting. The LCD display takes you through each step until your drink is ready. This display is also used for information purposes, such as telling you when the filter needs to be cleaned.

The water tank will hold enough to make ten cups, and once heated, will retain its temperature until it is needed again. Unlike many drinks makers, the cup stand on this model is adjustable, so tall containers such as travel mugs, can be easily accommodated.

The Keurig drinks maker is extremely attractive. In stainless steel with black accents, it tands at 17.6" x 15.3". Cleaning is straighforward (not that the machine makes much mess), and removable parts are dishwasher-safe.

It is fast (it takes approximately a minute to brew and pour a drink) and makes quality hot drinks for a fraction of the prices charged in coffee shops. If you feel you are limiting yourself to only being able to choose K-Cups to drink, there is also a filter available from Keurig which allows you to use your own tea and coffee. In summary, this is a highly specified machine that offers a much wider range of drinks than its competitors. A fantastic, convenient machine.
