Frigidaire Window Air Conditioner 65K BTU

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

I live in Florida and our summers are very hot and humid here. I needed a new window air conditioner for my bedroom. I scoured the sales every weekend for 3 weeks until I found the Frigidaire air conditioner on sale. After looking at the other a/c's I decided that I needed to purchase one that had a lot of power, so I selected the Frigidaire 65 thousand BTU unit. I chose not to purchase the heat and a/c unit, although they were available. I do have an alternative heating source for the winter. The installation went smoothly, and fit perfectly in its designated space.

I really like the fact that it is branded with the energy star, meaning that is saves on electricity. That is a plus in my book. This air conditioner has three fan speeds and they are, high, medium and low. You may use the fan setting only without the cool air if you prefer.

It is equipped with an energy saver setting, and a timer. You set the timer to turn the machine off. I love the timer setting because I can set it to go off at a certain time. I would have to turn it back on manually.

There is a digital temperature control, you can set it to the temperature that you prefer, for me, in the summer it is always set at 72 degrees during the day and I lower it to 75 during the night.

When it is time to clean the filter, a little light will come on letting you know that the filter is dirty. It comes with a permanent filter that you clean with a mild detergent and water, dry it completely and put it back in the air conditioner. The most convenient feature of this product is the remote control. I can change the temperature or lower the fan speed with the touch of a button. I do not have to get up to do it.

I really like this product and would buy the name brand again.
