The Samsung PN63C550G1F is a plasma set that features all sorts of great functions. What makes this such a useful television set comes from how it is an incredibly easy to use set. The functions on the set are similar to other sets but its value proved to be significant alongside its many features.

The screen on the set was actually measured from a diagonal stance at 62 9/10". This is only one tenth of an inch off of the listed size but this will be good enough. A slight margin of error never hurt any set in the past.

Like with many other plasma TVs that have been tested the PN63C550G1F had absolutely no blurring to it whatsoever. The box for the set says that it works with a refresh rate of 600Hz and has a 0.001 ms response time in its images. While it is a real challenge to measure any of that stuff these are claims that are truly legitimate judging by how well the set worked.

The ability to access data from a digital camera proved to be very easy to handle. This was thanks to the ConnectShare feature on the set. This feature worked to get video files, pictures and music files to be played right on the set. This proved to be useful in that the device was easy to link up onto the set through the USB port.

In fact, there were many different ports all over the set. These included four separate HDMI inputs. These were located at varying points around the set and worked to make it easy to get more items hooked up to the set.

The contrast ratio for this plasma set was around 2,000,000:1. This is essentially on par with other plasma sets.

The only problem that was had with this set was lifting it up. The seat is nearly ninety pounds in weight. This is a little heavier than other plasma sets of the same size but it is still a relatively easy set to mount onto a wall. It only took about thirty minutes to get the entire mounting process to work between two people.

The PN63C550G1F cost about $2800 to get. This is about two hundred dollars less than other plasma sets in the sixty inch range. This made the set a good investment for any home with the need for a large plasma HDTV to get.
