This is a great food processor with a few added features that users will surely enjoy. The food processor cost less than $45 dollars and has an 8-cup capacity. The machine operates using 450 watts of power. The unit has a sleek design and is easy to use. The Black & Decker unit measures 15.2 x 10.2 x 10.2 inches and weighs only 5 pounds. This may seem like any other food processor, but it is not.

The 8-cup work bowl has two amazing functions. The unit allows the user to process foods in the bowl or use the continuous flow side chute. This feature allows the user to slice and chop large foods like potatoes and onions in a separate container. The user just has to slide one of their own containers under the chute to catch the foods. Many other food processors in the same class do not offer this feature. They have the top feeding chute but not the side chute. This Black & Decker model also has the top chute as well. The chute also has a safety stopper to prevent messy cleanup jobs.

The food processor has a safety dial to control the settings. The machine operates on high and low and has a pulse setting for more power. For added safety, the unit has an interlocking system. The unit does not work unless the work bowl and lid are securely in place. The unit does have trouble at times lining the base and the bowl securely in place. Sometimes the user has to fidget with the machine a few times to get this done correctly. The unit also does not have a no-slip grip for the handle. The unit only weighs 5-pounds so this is not a major problem.

There is a reversible stainless steel slicing and shredding disk for other jobs. The machine does a great job of offering precision cutting on even large food items. The unit has an internal storage lid for the cord. There is also a storage lid for the attachments as an added safety feature for users. The parts are dishwasher safe except for the base, which holds the motor. This is a great buy for the price. Again, many food processors in the same class cost double or even triple the price of the Black & Decker unit. It is extremely durable and reliable. There is a 1-year limited warranty with this unit.
