The Kenmore sewing machine 19112 is a horizontal drop in bobbin sewing machine with 58 different stitch functions. It has a four step buttonhole, drop feed and reverse lever. This is supposed to be a quick setup machine providing a professional stitch at a great value. The 19112 model is not worth the money it does provide a quick and easy set up. It does conveniently store but is slightly heavy .When it comes to stitching, it's just not up to par as far as the professional stitch goes, you'll be lucky if you even get a stitch out of this machine. I have done a few small projects with this machine when I first started sewing I didn't have the problem with the bobbin at that time but the stitches never turned out properly either too tight or would break. I assumed it was my lack of experience that was making my projects look so messy. As I grew in experience and talked to more experienced sewers I realized it wasn't my lack of experience it was the machine. After the first few projects this machine started acting up the bobbin continuously jammed up which broke stitches, needles and lead to allot of wasted fabric, thread and frustration beyond belief. I have brought it in for service and the sewing technician tried to fix it as well as my husband and neither of them could get this bobbin from jamming up. Really poor design no matter what the cost is, if it doesn't work, it's not a deal! The sewing machine is heavy for its size compared to other machines I have used. Also I've had problems with it breaking needles. This was the first problem I had before the bobbin issues. All in all I have been disappointed with this machine.
