Mr. Coffee

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

Most people own rather large coffee pots that tend to take up a lot of counter space. If you're the kind of person who needs six cups of coffee, then this coffee maker is not for you. However for those of you who require only a couple cups to function in the morning then this is a good friend to have in your kitchen. It is small and holds four cups of liquid. The top of the coffee maker is fairly simple to pop open. Once it's open, you simply pour the water in. This coffee maker also requires no paper filters at all which, of course, will save you a bit of money. Mr. Coffee comes with a small screen filter. Just measure out whatever quantity of grinds you usually use and pour it into that filter. Once you're finished with your Mr. Coffee make for the morning, take that filter out and dump out the grinds. Then simply rinse out whatever is left. It rinses very well and is dishwasher safe.

The Mr. Coffee coffee maker comes with the usual handy features naturally including an "on" button and an "off" button, but it's also equipped with a timer. You're free to set your Mr. Coffee for a few minutes before the time you'll set your alarm clock for by using the hour and minutes buttons. It only takes a couple minutes to make your coffee and, unlike most obnoxiously noisy coffee makers, is very quiet. It also has a delay brew button which allows you to stop the maker while it's in the middle of brewing. And as long as you keep your coffee maker on, your coffee will stay piping hot.

Aside from taking up very little counter space and being pleasantly quiet, the price is also quite reasonable. Mr. Coffee only costs $20. This coffee maker does seem to stain easily though. There are times when we don't finish off a pot and are in too big of a hurry to empty it out, but usually we can put the coffee pot in the dishwasher and it'll come out nice and clean. This pot seems to retain its stain. The measurement markings also began wearing off after the first couple of uses
