2007 Chevrolet Malibu Automatic Sedan

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

I love this car! I bought it used in the summer of 2008 and it had about 30,000 miles on it from one previous owner. The only major event since then was the battery dying shortly thereafter. Fortunately it was still under 32,000 miles and thus was under warranty. The Chevrolet dealership towed it, fixed the battery, and returned it within one day. Not only am I impressed with the car, but because of that treatment I'm also impressed with the Chevrolet brand.

It rides smoothly and I'm happy with all the basic features it came with: automatic locks and windows, a CD player and radio, and air conditioning. There are also some little things that really make a huge difference in life, such as cup holders in the back seat, or an extended-size cup holder for those really big cups in the front.

It's a mid-size sedan, and it has the room to show for it. Since having a baby and adding a car seat to the backseat, I'm pleased with the amount of room for adjustment. In addition, we can easily fit two adults, two dogs, and the car seat with extra room to tote all our gear.

I like the look of this car. There are other Chevrolet models that look "older," such as the Impala, but as a young family, this car projects the right image to match our personality. Also, I've had a couple of "nudges" (minor accidents in parking lots) that should have left significant marks or scratches, but the damage was less than minimal; it was hardly noticeable.

When it comes time to buy a new car, we'll probably go with Chevrolet and definitely will go with a GM brand. I would heartily recommend the Chevrolet Malibu to friends or family.
