Panasonic Genius 1.2 cu. ft. counter top microwave NNSD698S

Rating: 3 out of 5
  • Currently 3.0/5.0

The Panasonic Genius 1.2 cu. Ft. countertop Microwave is a sleek, good looking addition to any kitchen. Although it is very powerful, it takes up no more space than my old one did. My old microwaves defrost setting never seemed to work very well so I am very impressed with this function on the new microwave. It fully defrosts without turning the edges around a pack of ground beef hard and brown. The popcorn setting works great as well. The popcorn always turns out just perfect and never burnt. Burnt popcorn has been very common in almost all previous microwaves I have been through.
The Panasonic Genius microwave takes a little getting used to but once you get the hang of it, operation of the unit is quite simple. It has an easy touch pad that is easy to wipe clean. The only thing I don't like is that you can not open it before stopping and clearing the time. This is a feature I am not used to and do not particularly like all that much. I think the best feature of this unit is the sensor reheat and sensor cook modes. These modes are very convenient and prevent overheating.
I recommend this product as it is not too high priced and comes with some handy features. It looks nice and does not take up too much space. If you are looking for a more advanced unit with lots of crazy option then another pricier unit might be the way to go. If you are looking for something a little simpler to get the job done with high power then this is the unit for you. It is very affordable and easy to use once you fully read the manual and spend a little time figuring it out.
