The HOMEASY TRENDS convection space heater is well worth the price; and the price is remarkably reasonable.
The only assembly that it needs is putting the wheels on, and it does not require the use of any tools.
It measures 23" x 18" and is 5-3/4" deep/thick, and its weight is only about 2.5 pounds. It has recessed carry grips on each side, wheels and a lightweight frame; making it easy to move from one place to another.
The control buttons consist of an "on/off" power selector, three temperature range settings (low, med, high), a timer setting that lets you program up to 12 hours of run time, and a manual reset button.
The source of the convection heat comes from four Halogen heating elements with a grill-type shield covering them on the front of the heater.
It comes with a remote control and has a built in safety feature that shuts the heater off incase it is tipped over. It is a delicate feature because the heater doesn't have to be tipped all the way over before it shuts off; as soon as it detects that it is not level, it shuts off.
The down side is the power cord; its only about 8 inches long, so be aware that you will most likely need an approved type extension cord to use with it. Though it does heat well and radiate heat well; it does not have a fan blower.
It supplies additional heat in small to medium rooms, and is not intended to be a primary source of heat. With that being said, this heater is well built, reliable and durable; and, it heated a 20x20-size room, for at least 8 hours, almost every day for 5-1/2 months. It outlasted a "top brand name" heater and is still working! This is excellent quality, reliability and value.
