Nordic Trac Treadmill A2250

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

We looked at several different home model treadmills before purchasing this one. Most of them seemed so cheap looking after having run on the commercial ones at the Y and other fitness centers. This Nordic Trac model looked much closer to what you would find in a fitness center. You definitely will pay more to get that quality but we felt it was worth the investment.

In spite of its size it is still fairly light and does fold up for storage either upright or flat. The track has a twelve level incline that adjusts easily at a touch of the finger. Speed is also adjusted at a simple push of the finger.

The treadmill provides a full status screen which provides you with a continual visual of time, distance and calories burned. The display is very easy to read and the items shown can be adjusted to your preferences.

There are a several built-in work out programs at many different levels, but you can also purchase program chips for a larger variety. Ours came with one free chip already. I prefer to do my own thing, so have not felt that program chip added any value for us.

The impact level can be adjusted up or down on the track, which is a feature I haven't seen on many treadmills. It also has a cooling fan built into the consul and has a book ledge near the top of consul for placing your reading material when walking on the treadmill.
The start key is magnetic and has a clip that you can attach to your clothing as a safety feature. If you should fall while running, the start key would be pulled off and the treadmill would stop. It also allows for you to place the key up out of reach so that it cannot be used without the key by children.

We really have had no negative issues with this piece of equipment.
